How to enable archive log mode in oracle database 11gr2

Hi All,

I hope you all are doing well.

I want enable archive log in my database version 11.2.0.4.0 safely.

Why safely because my database is running fine now.

OS -- Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Please provide the correct steps

so that the database works and schema's cannot lose any more after the archive log is enabled.
