How to drop an ASM disk without name

dbajugSep 20 2010 — edited Sep 20 2010
Hi all,

I'm working with an 10.2.0.1 Oracle RAC version with ASM on the same version.

We'd problems adding a disk to our ASM, and now, appears like FORMER header and without name.

If we select the v$operation have no rows.

If we listdisks, using oracleasm lib, this new disk exists. The new disk is CATFLASHAREA2

[root@CAT-L-BBDD2 root]# /etc/init.d/oracleasm listdisks
CATFLASHAREA2
VOL1
VOL2
VOL3

SQL> select name, header_status from v$asm_disk;

NAME HEADER_STATU
------------------------------ ------------
FOREIGN
FORMER
CATDATA1_0000 MEMBER
CATDATA2_0000 MEMBER
CATFLASHAREA_0000 MEMBER

If we select the v$asmdisk, we found that this disk is not assigned to any diskgroup

SQL> select group_number, name, path from v$asm_disk;

GROUP_NUMBER NAME PATH
------------ ------------------------- ------------------------------
0 /dev/raw/raw3
0 ORCL:CATFLASHAREA2
1 CATDATA1_0000 ORCL:VOL1
2 CATDATA2_0000 ORCL:VOL2
3 CATFLASHAREA_0000 ORCL:VOL3

How can we drop this disk from the ASM? Or, how can we add this disk to flasharea diskgroup?

Thanks in advance;

Regards,
dbajug
