Hi All,
I would like to know the process in performing the DDL Synchronization - Siebel repository and Siebel Schema. I am currently working as a Siebel administrator.
While doing a
DDL Synchronization between Siebel repository and Siebel Schema in production environment i have faced an issue that the indexes are dropped in the Schema (tables) if it is not there in the Repository, this created a major performance issue in the application.
DDL synch in production environment in done by a third party company, now i have planned to do the same in the development environment, as i am new to the Siebel line i have no idea about the process to do DDL sync, kindly help me to do the same.
Details regarding the DDL Synchronization :

Any custom indexes that are in the Oracle database Siebel owner's schema but not in the Siebel repository will be dropped during ddl synch. As other users noted, the repository stores the definition/meta-data of the Siebel schema and ddl-synch synch's the physical schema to match this definition. Hence, it drops any indexes that are not in the repository. These indexes will have to be recreated after the synch process or full migration. To prevent ddl-synch from dropping them, make sure they are entered with exactly the same name and definition in the repository through tools before the full compile and ddl synch.
Need all your help regarding the
DDL synchronization process at the earliest.
