how to develop chat application using JSP.

I want to develop chat software in jsp & servlet.
But i haven't any idea about it.means how to track perticular client and their session.If you have any idea + some source code then please tell me.On internet i found some chat application using jsp but all of them are chat groups. And i want to develop one to one chat like G-mail.

I have some knowledge of some jsp & servlet but no idea how to start for chat using jsp.

So please help me.
