How to detect if flash plugin is installed

I use some Line/Bar-Charts with Scrollbars in Apex 5.03. If the flash plugin is not installed in the browser

this results in an ugly error message "Feature is not supported. Feature: Zoom" when Apex automatically

tries to render my chart in HTML5. I would like to handle this situation in the Apex code to show a understandable

error message to the user. How can this be done?
