How to deal with stanging on source side?

How can I avoid to use staging on the source side ? Most of the time, a Production environment could be considered as source for ODI and it's risky to allow write access for temporary tables/views created in the stage area.

A -> B
in Topology I defined:

source: schema A1 / stage A2
target: schema B1 / stage B2

Can I reference in an interface the staging area from target (B2) rather then one from source (A2) when I have to transfer data from A to B ?
