How to create temp tables?

Hi,

I am new to ODI and my prior experience was with SAP Data Services. In SAP Data Services, creation of temp tables are very easy - just drag and drop.

Wondering ODI has similar features. I was searching and found this link How to create a Temp Table in ODI Interface (Yellow Interface) - ODIExperts.com. This seems very time consuming and complicated when the whole of ELT process is big.

Any other easy way or suggestions to store temp data and use that temp date for validation/data profiling or even loading?
