How to create effective database for this kind of table?

The row will be very active within one-two week of creation (updating status, filling up coloumn, etc) but will be relatively unchanged after that. What is the best way to implement this kind of table? Will using index (on the status) will lead to more efficient database? Thanks in advance for your info!
