how to convert to cst timezone

Hi,
At present i getting date in MM/DD/YYYY HH12:MI AM format
I don't know i which timezone i am in (EX. CST, PST...)
I Want to know in which timestamp i am in
i need to convert the date (MM/DD/YYYY HH12:MI AM format) to cst format
how to do it
