How to convert 2003r2 servers to VM's

I apologize if this is else ware, i could not find it...

I have a client with 3 aging 2003R2 servers that they must keep running. Would like to run them as VM's under Virtual Box on a new single machine.

What software is needed to convert them from existing boxes to VM's?

Since Oracle VM Virtual Box manager is free, are licenses needed to run servers under it?
