How to Connect to OVM Server from a mac using a crossover cable ..

Hi ,

MY OVM Server installation on a laptop has been successful. Now I need to be able to ping that OVMServer from a physically different laptop(say client).
The OVMServer and client are connected by a cross over cable. But I'm not able to ping from either of them.

Can somebody please help?
