How to connect to Oracle NetSuite database using 3rd party JDBC Driver?

Oracle NetSuite offers a licence to download JDBC driver that enables connection to the (Oracle) database NetSuite is using.

This JDBC driver works just fine when connecting with JetBrains DataGrip tool but I would rather have used SQL Developer.

I have added the NetSuite JDBC driver to Preferences/Database/Third Party JDBC Drivers but that does not seem to make any difference.

Is this even supposed to be possible with SQL Developer (I'm using version 20.2)?
