how to connect to ARGIS

Hi, it's my first time in this forum. I need to know if someone have had any experiency connecting ArcGis 9 or ArcEditor to Oracle spatial using direct connect. I've read that I need a .dll from arcSDE to do this.
Please tell me what must I do to perform this connection?
