How to Connect OBIEE 12c to Microsoft SQL Server ?

I am working on connecting OBIEE 12c to Microsoft SQL Server but i am confused with what i found on the oracle support site.

Here is what i found:

which is a bit confusing to me. Could someone dummy it down for me OR explain the steps in an easier way.
