Hi Guru's,

I am new to HP-UX, and want to install and configure Oracle RAC 11g r2 on HP-UX 11.31 IA64. I have below five shared devices on which i want to configure ASM for grid installation;

If i am not wrong Service Guard is not mandatory for this configuration, could you please tell me the step's to configure these five volumes as ASM volumes ? Also one more question ; Is SLVM configuration is mandatory to configure ASM ?

I just want to configure normal ASM devices like we do in Linux.
