How to compare applications

Hi All,

I want to compare 2 sets of same application. One way which i am aware of is to export the applications and compare its .sql files. But this is not an easy task to do.

I was also exploring for an easy way and found few third party tools. But i was wondering, if there is a better way of comparing the applications?
