How to change animation-on-data-change attribute using javascript code

Dear apex gurus

I have a drill down chart with 6 level, when the level number increases I want the chart to slidetoleft, when decreasing, I want the chart to slidetoright. i used the above JS code, which throws errors.

how to use animation-on-data-change attribute properly? thanks, any input is welcome.
