How to call a JSP from APEX

Hi,
I am trying to build a timeclock application where operators need a simple page with a big button displaying either Clockin or Clockout and a couple of messages on this page. I am trying to make it work with standard templates and not having any luck. Can I build a JSP with the objects I need and call it from APEX ? Are there any examples to do it ? Any suggestions ?
