How to allocate space to a directory in root in RHEL5

823529Jan 4 2011 — edited Jan 4 2011
Hi All,

I have installed Linux RedHat Enterprise 5 on VMWare in host Windows 2003 Server. I want to install Oracle on this virtual machine but when I created OFA (Oracle Flexible Architecture) model directory structure then /u01 directory has only few MBs of space. I don't want to add new hard drive. Meanwhile, Free space for this virtual machine is 35GB.
How can i allocate more space to /u01 directory on the root? Can somebody help me out.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Rizi DBA
