How to add device (eth1) after "neat" command invokes "Network Configure" ?

user8860348Jan 2 2012 — edited Jan 3 2012
Folks,

Hello. I am installing 2-nodes Oracle RAC 11gR2 system using VMPlayer 3. The host Operating System is Windows 7. The guest OS is Oracle Linux 5.6. The 2 nodes (2 Virtual Machines) are RAC1 and RAC2.

We need to create public IP address and Private IP address for each VM (RAC! and RAC2). The public IP addresses (eth0) connect RAC1 and RAC2 to shared storage. The Private IP addresses (eth1) connect RAC1 and RAC2 together.

In Oracle Linux 5.6, the command "neat" at root user invokes the network configuration (5 tabs) as followings:

Devices | Hardware | IPsec | DNS | Hosts

In the "Devices" tab, I have created the public IP address for RAC1 whose device name is etho.
But I don't know how to add another device "eth1" in the "Devices" tab to create Private IP address.
Thus, the network cannot be set up.

Can any folk tell me how to add another device (eth1) in "Devices" tab after "neat" command invokes "Network Configuration" ?
