How to achieve ADSL

Hi expert(s),

Now, i am developing a web based application in which i need to include ADSL concept something like using logged in username of the system .

My doubt is how to find out the currently logged in username of a system My friend said in .net he used ADSL, how to do ADSL in java or what is the alternate for it in java?

(Please forgive me, if i am posting this on wrong category).
