How to access application over the web?

583523Jun 18 2007 — edited Jun 20 2007
I have a Windows server with Abyss Web Server Pro installed on it and am serving out about three web sites from this machine which also has Oracle express installed on it.

I can access Oracle express applications locally from any of my network computers by typing in http://servername:8080/apex/f?p= xxx in a browser with no problem.

Now I would like users to be able to access these applications remotely over the web using, say www.mywebsite.com:8080/apex/f?P=xxx or by typing some other URL externally How is this done? My Abyss webs server only serves html/asp pages installed under a folder under Abyss.

If I type in: www.mywebsite.com:8080/apex/f?P=xxx where xxx is the app number, I get a page of source code!

I can't find anything explicit in the docs that tell me exactly how to do this.

TIA,
Chet
