how much extra space would the archive log files take every day

Hi,

I have an Oracle 10g db . The size is around 4 GB.It is in noarchivelog mode.
I would like to put it in archivelog mode.
But I have a question. There are lots of transactions happening on this DB every day.
What kind of perfomance issues would be there when I put the db in archivelog mode?
how much extra space would the archive log files take every day when we put the db in archivelog mode?
