How many Java Virtual Machine (JVM) can simultaneously run on an operating

Hi,

Could you please explain this to me. I am obviously having a tough time as googling for this has returned all sorts of answers.

I am guessing, the answer has to be more than one. Since I can really have two processors on my machine. But then again the paging memory is just one, so there can only be one JVM running.. so I am thoroughly confused.
