How does one insert a Carriage Return & Line Feed on a Select statement?

I’m using SQL Developer (Simple SQL – No PL/SQL) and I’m unable to successfully insert a CR & LF using char(13), chr(13), char(10) or chr(10) directly on a Select command line.

Ex:
Select ‘Sting #1’ || char(13) || char(10) || ‘String #2’ from dual
Select ‘Sting #1’ || chr(13) || chr(10) || ‘String #2’ from dual

Thanks,

Rick
