How does APEX do it's clean-up of temp tables, temp files?

Hi,

We are looking deeper into the clean up of collections etc... our customer says they needs to clean up the collections and session tables several times a day...

What does APEX do automatically? how often? How? jobs? How does a DBA manage these clean ups ?

Is there a write up on this area?

What does moving to APEX 3.0 do for collection clean up?
