Hello,
I do not own a MAC, but have a healthy Windows 10 desktop. I downloaded Oracle VM Virtual Box and am trying to setup my environment on the Windows platform. The environment specifics are:
- XCode 6.2 (6C131e)
- Mavericks 64 bit OS/X 10.9.5
- Oracle VM Virtual Box 5.0.14
- Windows 10 Professional 64 bit
I have installed JDeveloper 12c. on the Windows 10 desktop.
I followed the tutorial to setup MAF at Oracle JDeveloper 12c (12.1.3) Tutorials - Setting Up Mobile Application Framework
I can duplicate the steps in the tutorial very well up to a certain point. Things seem to go awry in Step 4: Deploy and Test the Page / 4. Select the iOS Options node and confirm the Simulator Target Version is set to 7.0.
On the MAF for iOS Deployment Profile Properties screen I encounter two differences:
- The minimum iOS version field has only one selection: 8.0 (not 7.0 as the tutorial indicates, but it's probably not a big deal)
- The Simulator field has only one selection: <Default Simulator> (No selections for various iPhone and iPad models, as the tutorial indicates).
The Help text for the Simulator field indicates "...The options depend on which versions of the iOS SDK have been installed." However, some Apple sites indicate that the SDK's are included with XCode. At any rate, I have no idea how to find, download and install the SDK's for iPhone, iPad, etc.
Is my environment OK? How do I resolve the empty Simulators?
Many thanks for looking at this.
