How do I reconfigure active cluster to passive?

mauricevNov 9 2015 — edited Nov 10 2015

I am gearing up to reconfigure the pools on a 7310 shared cluster. The cluster is currently configured active-active with each controller head serving up its own pool. I'd like to consolidate to a single pool served by one controller head with the second head in passive mode. The appliance is going to be used to store static backups and doesn't need a fancy active-active mode.

It seems that the primary thing I need to do is unconfig the existing pools and just recreate one its in place.

How do I configure it such the second controller head is in passive mode?

One thing I don't fully understand is that there seem to be 4 one Gb interfaces, two of which are used for mgmt and two for data, but there are two more ten Gb interfaces and these are aggregated. That would imply there are three total interfaces for data. The nxge aggr interface has it own IPs independent of the nge2 and nge3 interfaces. I've attached a screenshot.
