How do I know what keys in deployment.properties are supported in JWS 142

I'd like to use the user authentication function in JWS, but I wonder if deployment.system.security.trusted.clientauthcerts is supported in my jre 1.4.2. How do I know this? I know this property key in a jre 1.5 document: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html
btw, I also notice that on jre 1.5 control panel, user authentication can be configured on security --> certificates, but on jre 1.4.2, this option doesn't exist, only Signed Applet, Secure Site, Signer CA, Secure Site CA exist. So I think the above way is my only hope to configure user authentication in JRE. Is there other way else?
