How do get rid of gnome-sofware-service with autostart? (or at least disable it?)

I am using Oracle 9.4

I can't get rid of gnome-software-service which is in autostart. I can't edit the file because it's in root. I don't like it hogging up memory. I go to system monitor and see it uses too much memory and grows over time! How do I disable it so it won't start up again next time I start up my computer?
