how can Oracle APEX application detects the EBS session timeout

Hi,
I have a question regarding the session timeout in APEX application. After integration Oracle APEX with EBS, how can APEX application know that the user session in EBS is timeout? Will the APEX session be timeout automatically when the EBS session is time out?

In our case, we want to popup some messages for user in APEX to reminder user to do something (for exampe: closing some windows or save some works) because his session is time out.
