How can I programmatically find/list Tuxedo services?

Chris SharmanMay 12 2016 — edited Jun 5 2016

We're migrating to Tuxedo, so in the medium term some services will reside on the legacy system, while others will be on Tuxedo.

How best to query Tuxedo for whether it offers a particular service?

Ideas so far:

  • parse the ascii config file (ubbconfig?)
  • find and scan the binary config (how?)
  • use pipes & parse tpadmin printservice -s "myservice"
  • hardcode our own list

We have quite a lot of services, user dialogues which call several services, etc, so I'd prefer to avoid hardcoding.

Would also like to keep it simple and lightweight ...

All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
