How can I know the status of a full CDB RMAN job inside a PDB?

GiankMar 14 2016 — edited Aug 31 2016

Hello everyone,

In a 11g standard edition DB, I created a daily job to check the nightly RMAN backup status, it checks the status column of the more recent backup registered in the v$rman_backup_job_details view.

When we upgraded to 12c SE2, we converted it to PDB, but now the job cannot access the info of the full backup, since it is inside the PDB, and the backup is taken for the whole CDB instance, that means the record can only be seen in v$rman_backup_job_details when connected to the CDB.

Since the CDB backup includes all the PDBS inside, I guess there must be a way to check the status inside the PDB, Can anyone help me with this? Maybe some ideas?

Thanks in advance.
