How can I insert, update data on synonym.

Hi All

I have created synonym as the following command
CREATE OR REPLACE SYNONYM Database1.Synonym1 FOR DATABASE2.Table2
How to insert, update data to Database1.Synonym1. I just connect to Database1.
What must I grant role to Database1?
