How can i enable sql*plus or isql*plus in my virtaul machine

Hello to all ;

I am using oracle 10g on rhel 5 ( running on virtaul machine).
How can i enable sqlplus or isql*plus in my virtaul machine ?*
I have putty . Any other utilities (free tool ) available to access my database ?
