Hot backup and Cold backup
591658Apr 7 2010 — edited Apr 7 2010Hello, In my system We are taking (oracle 9), we are taking hot backups quite frequently.
We are also taking Cold backups weekly.
Nowadays, our system requires more uptime, and so there was a discussion whether we can stop taking cold backups or not.
Can anybody plz advise, whether cold backups are required in this case? do we injecy any risk additional risk of data loss if we stop cold backup?
If not, when and under what circumstances cold backups are required?
