Hosting an Oracle XE db on the web?

472409Jan 12 2006 — edited Feb 1 2006
This might sound very amateur, but I am new at this stuff.

I have made my database in Oracle XE, and it works as expected. However, all of this is for a university project. Now I need to host the database (I have made a set of HTML pages using HTMLDB and this will be the frontend of the website).

My problem is, what can I use to host this project on the website? Also, how do I go about domain names (I know this shouldn't be asked here)? Furthermore, does the web server software I use need special features to use Oracle technology?

I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what web hosting server software to use (something easy that won't take much time - I can't use IIS as I have not got XP Pro), and possibly any pointers (urls to what I'm asking to do, I did search).

Thanks
