Hosted apex.oracle.com - DBMS_CRYPTO or other options

Greetings...

Quick Question:

The DBMS_CRYPTO package needs to be granted to individual schemas. Internally on my systems, this is not an issue.

On APEX.ORACLE.COM, how would one accomplish encrypting data in a table column without use of that package?

I am new to the process of "hiding" data within the Oracle Database. Is there a method which is more public that I don't know about?
