When running some tests using vdbench and HCIbench (which uses vdbench), we see some differences in test results that are hard to explain. One thing that caught my eye was HCIbench always generates a vdb config with hitarea=0 set. I know that the hit area defaults to the first megabyte of an SD, and we have done some tests where we specify hitarea and rhpct. My questions are; if rhpct isn't set, then hitarea should not matter, right? And if rhpct is not set, but hit area is set to zero, what is the effect of that?
