Highlight Text Based on Contents of Another Column in Interactive Report in 5.1.2.00.09

Version: 5.1.2.00.09

Hello,

I have an Interactive Report that displays comments that contain profanity (as determined by the business).

The 2 columns of interest are 'Comments' and 'Bad Word'. The 'Comments' column contains the entire comment and the 'Bad Word' column contains the profane word or words used in the comment.

I'd like to highlight the profane word in the comment based on the word in the 'Bad Word' column.

There is a table that contains the profane words that is queried in a function and if finds any profane words they are returned space delimited (so it would be word<space>word...).

I found a post from 2013: https://community.oracle.com/message/11265887#11265887 that Tony was asking for something similar that Jari replied basically using an HTML Expression on the column to highlight:

<span style="color:FF0000;">#BAD_WORD#</span>

That replaces ALL the text in the 'Comments' column with the word(s) in the 'Bad Word' column and highlights them red which is not what I'm looking for obviously.

As an example, if the comment was: This is really a stupid question! wtf!

The words 'stupid' and 'wtf' would be in the 'Bad Word' column and I'd like the same 2 words highlighted in the 'Comments' comment in Red.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks,

Joe
