Highlight row based on hidden column value in Classic/Interactive Report(Apex 4.2)

Hi,

I am trying to highlight a row in the APEX classic/interactive report based on value in the hidden column.

I followed the approach given in the below link

change row color based on column value Apex 5 in classic report

But this works only when the column is displayed in the report.

I am a beginner in Javascript/jQuery.

Kindly help to highlight the row based on a value in the hidden column.
