Highest Version of Grid To Install With and Use of EMDROOT
Hello. I have searched Metalink and Technet for the but cannot find the answers to the follwoing 3 somewhat unrelated questions. Can you help? Here they are:
1.) Can I initially install Oracle Grid using the 10.2.0.3.0 Grid SW or is there a higher or lower version I must use?
2.) For the agents, do I have to use EMDROOT as the alias for the agent ' home directory or can I use something on my own like AGENT_HOME. Is there something in the Grid SW/functionality that requires the explicit use of an environemnt variable=EMDROOT?
3.) Does Grid have anything automated for cheking the status of RMAN backups or would I just need to write a small script that Grid would utilize, say on a once-a-day basis to check this?
