Hi All,
We are getting high SGA usage alerts for our database. We tried flushing the shared pool but no luck. when we query the Free -m the memory usage is also high and the sga usage is also high. We never faced this issue in our db. Oracle support is saying that it won't release to OS, it will be used in DB level and it reuse whenever needed at DB level. But we are getting alerts for the high sga and memory usage.

If anyone have any idea reg this kindly share your valuable suggestions on this. How to find the ideal sizing of the SGA and how can we decrease the SGA usage. Its a production DB.
