Hiding Report Region until button pressed

Hi All,
I like to make my generic column report region hide until and unless a submit button is pressed and a process is fired.

I have checked the conditional display options there is a process section and tried with when a process id is run but failed.Also after pressing submit if i move into diff page and again come into the current page it display the region still menas the region info is not cleared.

Any idea will be appreciated ........
