hfs:unable to find HFS+ superblock

345771Apr 19 2009 — edited Apr 20 2009
I noticed that occasionally, but still quite often, when I perform a heavy I/O operations like saving a VM guest as a template, this warning/error appears on the Physical server console (Oracle VM Server 2.1.2):

hfs:unable to find HFS+ superblock

Sometimes, but in this case I can't relate this ti a particular event, I also get messages similar to this:

audit(1240073013.786:12): dev=vif5.0 prom=256 old_prom=0 auid=4294967295

Apparently all the VM guests are working normally, even after these error/warnings are shown. Any ideas about what they actually mean? Maybe somebody can point me to some logfiles that I should check to further investigate on this?

It's an HP bladesystem connected to an external FC storage SAN.
