If HS.EXP is used with same set of Intesections in calculate loop, will the values be accumulated?

e.g there is a loop for calculation and for the first variable HS.EXP function is used to move value to an intersection. again for the second variable, some calculations are done and HS.EXP fucntion is used to move the value to the same intersection. the issue i'm facing is that the HS.EXP used for the second variable overwrites the inersection values moved for the first varialbe. my requirement is to have then accumulate the value in same intersection for each variable.

can someone throw some light on this?
