I see some Variances when I compare Apps to Apps in Financial Reports connected to Essbase and HFM .
I have a Particular Parent - P1 = In HFM and Essbase value is 19.58 , Which in HFR Connected to Essbase is seen as 21 , And HFR Connected to HFM is 20
And a Child C1 = HFM and Essbase Value is 17.62, Which in HFR Value is 19 Connected to Essbase and 18 for FR's connected to HFM.
Undertsand that HFR will round off to nearest Decimal Place , which has to be 20 and 18 respectively . But I see extra 1 $ Varaince in the Reports connected to Essbase as 21 and 19. Reason may be for Financial reports connecting to Essbase , where after all children are summed with Individual variances of 0.23 , 0.30 etc rounded off to nearest Decimal place Sum comes to Variance of 1.30 in the parent . Which makes sense of why I am seeing the 1 Unit extra variance. But , a report connected to HFM has the similar members and has been rounded off with Similar Variances but yet the Parent is not showing the Extra 1 dollar Variance. This is very Interesting !!
Any comments on this varied behavior between HFM and Essbase.
