HFM Eliminations in FR

Hello,
I am searching for an easier method to produce a consolidating income statement in FR or SmartView. The typical format is like this :

COMPANYA COMPANYB ELIMS CONSOLIDATED
10 20 (5) 25

The POV for the COMPANYA column is straightforward: COMPANYA, <Entity Curr Total> or COMPANYA, USD Total.

The POV for the eliminations column is trickier: it is the sum of all eliminations below CONSOLIDATED, in this case:

CONSOLIDATED.COMPANYA, [Elimination] + CONSOLIDATED.COMPANYB, [Elimination]

Because default eliminations can occur throughout the entity hierarchy, creating dynamic FR reports is a challenge. Does anyone have a clever way to sum all eliminations that are immediate children below a given member? I haven't found a HFM function or FR function that would make this easier. Member lists could help possibly, but doesn't sum the data values.
