We are in the process of upgrading from 11.1.2.4 to the latest 11.2.10. With the EAL being deprecated in the latest version we are trying to use HFM EA to extract monthly actuals data at all levels(input, base, calculated, Consolidated etc) from HFM to a flat file to load to Essbase. Whenever the process is initiated, the memory is spiking and the process is taking up all the available memory in the server and running for several hours. It fails after running for 5 or 6 hours. Few times it completed in 7hours and sometimes it ran for 13+ hours. We understand we are trying to extract data at all levels could take time but definitely the monthly data in the system is not so huge that can take all up 128GB of memory causing memory explosion.
We have an Oracle SR for the issue but posting here to see if someone faced similar issue in their environment and the possible solution for the issue.
