Help with Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 install on Red Hat 7.3

Hi Folks,

I need some help with the following error message I'm getting when trying to logon using SqlPlus.

I've installed oracle 9.2.0.1.0 on Red Hat 7.3. After starting the listener, when I try to logon to the server using typical scott/tiger@orcl, I'm getting the following error. Searching oracle documentation did'nt help me much.

ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory

Thanks,

pkm
